Overview

Ek Crore is a personal finance publication. We collect minimal data, use it only to run the site and newsletter, and do not sell or share it with third parties for commercial purposes. This page explains what we collect, why, and how you can control it.

What we collect

Newsletter sign-ups. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address. We use it solely to send you the Ek Crore newsletter. We do not use it for advertising, profiling, or share it with third parties outside of our email service provider.

Analytics. We may collect anonymised usage data — pages visited, time on page, general location by country — to understand which content is useful and how the site is performing. This data is aggregated and not linked to individuals.

Calculator inputs. All calculator inputs (income, deductions, SIP amounts, etc.) are processed entirely in your browser. We do not transmit, store, or log any values you enter into our calculators.

What we do not collect

We do not collect financial account details, PAN numbers, Aadhaar numbers, or any other sensitive personal or financial identifiers. We do not run behavioural advertising, retargeting pixels, or cross-site tracking of any kind.

Cookies

This site may use minimal, functional cookies necessary for the site to operate correctly. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. If we add analytics cookies in the future, we will update this page and provide an opt-out mechanism.

Newsletter unsubscribe

Every newsletter email contains an unsubscribe link. Clicking it will immediately remove your email address from our mailing list. You can also email us directly to request removal.

Third-party services

Ek Crore is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Our newsletter infrastructure and database are provided by third-party services that may process data on our behalf under data processing agreements. We do not authorise these providers to use your data for their own commercial purposes.

Data retention

We retain newsletter subscriber emails for as long as you remain subscribed. After unsubscribing, your email address is deleted from our active list. Anonymised analytics data may be retained for up to 24 months to track long-term site performance trends.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
